Reach Out is a site aimed at teenagers and young adults; tackling a variety of issues from bullying to sexual assault.  It has a blog option for you to share your story, gain support, and offers daily motivational text messages to your phone directly; just to name a few of its services.

 Yarrow Place is the lead public health agency responding to rape and sexual assault in South Australia.  Yarrow Place is a part of the Women’s and Children’s Health Network.  A community service with a statewide mandate.  Yarrow Place has four main roles:

  • Providing direct services to people who have been raped or sexually assaulted and who were aged 16 years or more at the time of the assault.
  • Providing a lead agency role in SA.  This included advocacy in relation to key issues, public policy, planning and service delivery in the area of sexual violence against adults.
  • Resourcing other agencies and workers to provide services to victims/survivors.
  • Working to prevent rape and sexual assault.

Suicide Callback Service

The Suicide Call Back Service provides crisis counselling to people at risk of suicide, carers for someone who is suicidal and those bereaved by suicide, 24 hours per day 7 days a week across Australia.  People who are not linked in with current professional support can also access up to six sessions of ongoing counselling with the same counsellor at times scheduled to suit you.  Professional counsellors, with specialist skills in working with suicide-related issues, will assist you in working through difficult emotions.
